Introduction
Infants born at 33 weeks are generally considered premature, as full term is typically reached at 37 weeks of gestation. The normal duration of pregnancy for healthy infants is around 40 weeks, and delivery between 37 and 40 weeks is considered normal. Premature infants refer to those born before 37 weeks of gestational age. Infants born before 28 weeks of pregnancy have a relatively low survival rate.
