How to relieve headache caused by air conditioning
Headaches caused by air conditioning are a common occurrence in daily life. They mainly result from cold air blowing directly onto the head, causing blood vessels in the scalp to constrict, which in turn triggers headaches. Such headaches can be relieved through methods like massage, applying heat, or going outdoors to relax, with heat application being the primary approach. Specific steps are as follows:
1. Once a headache occurs, turn off the air conditioner as soon as possible, or wear a hat and scarf to stay warm, avoiding direct exposure of the head to cold air from the AC.
2. After turning off the air conditioner, open the windows indoors to allow for air circulation and breathe in some fresh air.
3. Soak a towel in hot water and place it on the forehead. Heat application helps soothe nerves and improve cerebral blood circulation, thereby alleviating the headache.
4. While applying heat, you may also consume warm foods and drinks such as brown sugar ginger tea, mugwort soup, or warm milk. In addition, headaches can also be relieved through medication or taking a warm bath.
