Introduction
Gynecological medications are generally inserted into the vagina, and the drug should be placed in the vaginal canal and positioned in the posterior fornix. Drug insertion should be performed under professional guidance. Different medications are typically placed in the posterior fornix of the vagina. The timing and administration schedule vary depending on the treatment goal, type of disease, and specific medication used.

Gynecological medication insertion generally refers to vaginal suppository administration, in which the drug must be placed into the vagina and retained in the posterior fornix. Vaginal suppositories are used to treat vaginitis, cervicitis, and as a form of hormone replacement therapy after menopause. The procedure should be performed under professional guidance, with specific steps as follows:

1. Wash your hands thoroughly, then lie on your back on a bed with your legs slightly bent.

2. Put on clean, sterile gloves. Use the left thumb and index finger to separate the labia majora and minora, place the medication at the anterior portion of the vagina, insert it into the vaginal canal, and evenly apply the medication along the vaginal walls.

3. Using the index finger, follow the axis of the posterior vaginal wall to push the medication further into the vagina until it reaches the vaginal fornix.

4. Remain lying flat for at least half an hour after administration; ideally, go to sleep after inserting the medication to prevent it from dislodging.
