Introduction
Zoladex is administered by subcutaneous injection in the anterior abdominal wall. Prior to using Zoladex, note that this medication must not be used in children, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women. Patients who are allergic to any component of the drug should also not receive the injection. Strict aseptic technique must be followed during injection. Perform hand disinfection, cover the injection site with a sterile dressing after hemostasis is achieved, and avoid bathing on the same day.

Norethisterone is a hormonal anti-tumor medication and also a synthetic luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone analog. The injection procedure includes disinfection, needle retrieval, injection, and aftercare. Norethisterone is administered via subcutaneous injection in the anterior abdominal wall. Prior to using Norethisterone, note that it must not be used by children, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women. Patients who are allergic to any component of this drug should also avoid its use. This medication must be administered only by trained professionals. The specific injection steps are as follows:

1. The healthcare provider disinfects the patient's injection site, covering an area 5 cm above and below and 10 cm to each side. After disinfection, allow the skin to air dry or wipe with a sterile cotton ball.

2. After hand disinfection, the injector opens the package and removes the syringe. Hold the syringe up to a light source and inspect at the correct angle; Norethisterone implants should be visible inside the syringe.

3. Once confirming the syringe is intact and without defects, pull out the plastic safety clip outward and discard it, then remove the needle cap.

4. With one hand, pinch the patient’s skin at the injection site. With the other hand, firmly hold the syringe and insert the needle at a 30–45 degree angle with the bevel facing upward, injecting into the subcutaneous tissue of the lower abdominal wall near the umbilicus until the protective sleeve touches the skin.

5. Fully depress the plunger of the syringe. At this point, a "click" sound will be heard, and the protective sleeve will automatically slide forward to cover the needle.

6. While holding the syringe firmly, withdraw the needle so that the protective sleeve fully covers the entire needle. After completion, dispose of the syringe in a designated sharps disposal container.

Precautions:

Strictly maintain aseptic technique during injection. Perform proper hand disinfection. After stopping bleeding at the puncture site, cover it with a sterile dressing. Do not bathe on the day of injection. If ulceration or skin damage occurs at the injection site, manage with surgical wound care; if necessary, administer antibiotics as directed by a physician.
