Introduction
In general, patients who have undergone cervical polyp surgery should take anti-inflammatory medication to effectively prevent infection. Without taking such medication, infections may easily occur, which not only prolong recovery time but also lead to symptoms such as redness, swelling, and pain, causing physical discomfort. Patients should maintain a light diet and avoid spicy or irritating foods, such as barbecued items and hot pot.

After cervical polyp removal, patients should not skip taking anti-inflammatory medication, as doing so may negatively affect health and prolong recovery.

Cervical polyps are a manifestation of chronic cervicitis, caused by prolonged stimulation from chronic inflammation leading to localized mucosal hyperplasia in the cervical canal. They can be classified as either cervical mucosal polyps or vaginal portion cervical polyps, and may occur singly or in multiples, varying in size, with diameters usually less than 1 cm. Larger polyps may cause clinical symptoms such as bleeding, abnormal vaginal discharge, or a protruding mass at the vaginal opening. Generally, after undergoing cervical polyp surgery, patients should take anti-inflammatory medication to effectively prevent infection. Skipping this medication increases the risk of infection, which not only extends recovery time but may also lead to symptoms such as swelling, pain, and general discomfort.

Patients should maintain a light diet, avoiding spicy and irritating foods such as barbecued items and hot pot. They should protect the affected area and avoid exposing it to water, get adequate rest, and refrain from strenuous physical activity.
