Introduction
In general, the management of a 0.3 cm uterine cavity separation in patients should be based on individual circumstances. If the patient shows no abnormal or disorganized echoes, curettage is not necessary. However, if the patient experiences symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, increased vaginal discharge, low-grade fever, and presents with disorganized echoes, the condition is considered more severe and requires curettage.

“Dilation and curettage” (D&C) refers to the surgical procedure known as uterine evacuation. A 0.3 cm uterine cavity separation does not necessarily require D&C if other test results are normal; however, if other findings are abnormal, D&C may be necessary.

Uterine cavity separation generally indicates the presence of retained material within the uterine cavity, which could result from incomplete tissue removal after a miscarriage or menstrual period. Dilation and curettage is the most commonly used method for early medical termination of pregnancy and is particularly suitable for individuals experiencing incomplete or missed miscarriage, molar pregnancy, or elective abortion. In general, a 0.3 cm uterine cavity separation should be managed according to individual circumstances. If the patient shows no abnormal or disorganized ultrasound echoes, D&C may not be required. Instead, medications such as Yimucao Capsules (Leonurus capsules) or Wu Jia Sheng Hua Capsules may be prescribed under a doctor's guidance. However, if the patient experiences symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, increased vaginal discharge, low-grade fever, and displays disorganized echoes on ultrasound, the condition is considered more serious and D&C is typically recommended.

It is important to note that patients should carefully follow postoperative care instructions to avoid complications such as cervical laceration, uterine perforation, infection, or intrauterine adhesions, all of which can negatively impact health.
