Introduction
Pinworm eggs are invisible to the naked eye because they are approximately 50–60 × 20–30 µm in size, with a colorless, transparent shell consisting of two layers and a smooth protein membrane. They can only be observed under a microscope. Patients are advised to seek timely medical evaluation at a hospital, where tests such as complete blood count, stool examination, perianal swab testing, and examination for adult worms around the anus can confirm whether a pinworm infection is present.

Pinworm eggs are not visible to the naked eye and require timely medical examination.

Pinworms, also known as Enterobius vermicularis, commonly infect children and may lead to enterobiasis, a disease caused by infection with pinworm eggs. Enterobiasis can cause itching around the anus and perineum, as well as gastrointestinal and neurological symptoms. Under normal circumstances, pinworm eggs cannot be seen with the naked eye because they are approximately 50–60 × 20–30 µm in size, have a colorless, transparent shell composed of two layers, and a smooth protein membrane. They can only be observed under a microscope. Patients are advised to seek prompt medical evaluation through tests such as complete blood count, stool examination, perianal swab tests, and identification of adult worms around the anus to confirm infection.

Good hygiene practices should be maintained daily, including handwashing before meals, keeping fingernails short, avoiding finger-sucking, and frequently changing and washing underwear and bedding, along with proper disinfection measures.
