Introduction
Fever refers to an elevated body temperature, and 37.6 degrees means 37.6°C. Generally, the normal body temperature range for children is between 36.5°C and 37.3°C; therefore, 37.6°C falls within the fever range. When a child has a low-grade fever, it is recommended to provide light, easily digestible foods, while reducing intake of greasy and sweet foods to lower the risk of indigestion.

Fever refers to an elevated body temperature, and 37.6 degrees means 37.6°C. Generally, the normal body temperature range for children is between 36.5°C and 37.3°C; therefore, a temperature of 37.6°C is considered feverish.

Typically, the normal axillary (underarm) temperature for children ranges from 36°C to 37°C, while the normal rectal temperature ranges from 36°C to 37.5°C. Thus, a child's body temperature of 37.6°C is classified as a fever, specifically a low-grade fever. When a child’s temperature reaches 37.6°C, physical cooling methods such as wiping the body with lukewarm water and encouraging increased fluid intake can be used. It is also important to monitor the temperature dynamically. If the temperature exceeds 38.5°C, it is recommended that the child take fever-reducing medication under a doctor's guidance, such as ibuprofen suspension or acetaminophen suppositories.

When a child has a low-grade fever, they should drink plenty of fluids and get adequate rest. This helps replenish lost fluids, reduces the risk of dehydration, and supports recovery from illness. Regarding diet, it is advisable to consume light, easily digestible foods, while minimizing intake of greasy and sweet foods to reduce the likelihood of indigestion.
