Introduction
Chronic lung inflammation usually refers to pneumonia lasting longer than three months, also known as chronic pneumonia. If lung inflammation resolves within one month, it is typically classified as acute pneumonia. If the illness persists and recovery takes place between one to three months, it is considered protracted pneumonia. However, if the course of pneumonia exceeds three months, it is classified as chronic pneumonia.

Chronic lung inflammation generally refers to pneumonia lasting longer than three months, also known as chronic pneumonia.

Under normal circumstances, lung inflammation can be cured within one month with timely intervention and treatment, which is typically classified as acute pneumonia. If the condition persists due to various factors—such as poor immunity, malnutrition, or inadequate treatment duration—and recovery takes place between one to three months, it is considered prolonged pneumonia. However, if the course of pneumonia exceeds three months, it is defined as chronic pneumonia.

Once chronic pneumonia develops, long-term comprehensive treatment measures are usually required to prevent adverse impacts on daily life.
