Introduction
Whether Huo Dan Pian can be used to treat rhinitis needs to be analyzed according to the underlying cause. If rhinitis is caused by internal accumulation of dampness-turbidity and stagnated fire in the gallbladder meridian, presenting symptoms such as nasal congestion, clear nasal discharge, and forehead pain, Huo Dan Pian may generally be used under medical guidance to treat rhinitis through aromatic transformation of turbidity, clearing heat, and opening the nasal passages, which usually yields relatively good results.

1. Effective:
If rhinitis is caused by internal accumulation of dampness and turbidity, or stagnation of gallbladder channel fire, presenting symptoms such as nasal congestion, clear nasal discharge, and forehead pain, Huodan Tablets may generally be used under medical guidance. These tablets exert effects of aromatic transformation of turbidity, clearing heat, and opening the nasal passages, which usually yield relatively good results in treating this type of rhinitis.
2. Ineffective:
If rhinitis results from kidney qi deficiency and insufficient warming function, Huodan Tablets are generally ineffective. This is because the tablets act to transform turbidity and clear heat but do not replenish kidney qi, thus they cannot address this particular type of rhinitis.
When taking Huodan Tablets, if there is no improvement after three days of use, or if other abnormal symptoms develop, prompt medical consultation is necessary.
