Introduction
If yellowish deposits appear in the eyes, and this is due to recently consuming large amounts of foods rich in carotene, increasing water intake may help improve the condition. If caused by a stye, treatment may include topical medications such as tobramycin eye drops or surgical drainage of pus. If related to chronic hepatitis, medications such as entecavir dispersible tablets or telbivudine tablets can be used. In cases of severe liver failure, liver transplantation may be considered based on a doctor's recommendation.

Yellowish growths in the eyes may be caused by physiological factors or pathological conditions, such as styes or chronic hepatitis.

1. Physiological Factors

This may result from recently consuming large amounts of foods rich in carotene, such as oranges and carrots. Excessive intake of carotene can lead to this condition. Drinking more water to promote metabolism usually helps improve the situation.

2. Pathological Factors

1) Stye (Hordeolum)
If poor eyelid hygiene or infection with bacteria like *Staphylococcus aureus* leads to a stye, localized abscesses and exudates may form. Under medical guidance, medications such as tobramycin eye drops, chlortetracycline eye ointment, or levofloxacin eye drops can be used to reduce inflammation. In some cases, surgical drainage may be recommended by a physician.

2) Chronic Hepatitis
Chronic hepatitis caused by long-term heavy alcohol consumption or bacterial infection may lead to inflammation damaging normal liver cells, resulting in yellowing of the sclera (icterus). Antiviral medications prescribed by a doctor—such as entecavir dispersible tablets, tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablets, or telbivudine tablets—can be used for treatment. In cases of severe liver failure, liver transplantation may be considered based on medical advice.

In addition, bile duct stones may also cause yellow discoloration. Patients are advised to seek timely medical evaluation to determine the exact cause and receive appropriate, physician-guided treatment.
