Introduction
The hepatitis B vaccine provided free of charge is usually domestically produced, while the one administered at personal expense is imported. However, whether the hepatitis B vaccine is self-paid or free, the immunological effectiveness is the same. It's important to maintain good health when receiving the vaccine; if you have an illness, vaccination should be postponed. Monitor for any side effects after vaccination and check whether the vaccination has been successful.

Generally, the free hepatitis B vaccine is domestically produced, while the paid version is imported. However, whether the hepatitis B vaccine is self-funded or provided free of charge, their immunization effectiveness is the same.

The hepatitis B vaccine is classified as a Category I vaccine and is available for free. It is administered at 24 hours after birth, 1 month, and 6 months of age. If an imported vaccine is chosen, it must be paid for out-of-pocket and also requires three doses, with each dose costing between 100 to 200 yuan, depending on the region and medical institution. There is essentially no difference between domestic and imported hepatitis B vaccines in preventing hepatitis B virus infection.

Local reactions such as redness, swelling, and itching at the injection site usually disappear within 1–2 days. For infants born to mothers infected with the hepatitis B virus, hepatitis B immune globulin must be administered within 12 hours after birth, followed by hepatitis B vaccination according to the 0-, 1-, and 6-month schedule.

When receiving the vaccine, it's important to maintain good health; vaccination should be postponed if illness occurs. Monitor for any side effects after vaccination and check whether the immunization has been successful.
