Introduction
Napa cabbage is generally considered a "trigger food." Trigger foods typically refer to nutrient-rich foods that, despite their nutritional benefits, may easily provoke pre-existing conditions, worsen existing illnesses, or cause allergic reactions. Although napa cabbage contains abundant nutrients that help nourish the body, some individuals may experience adverse effects after consuming it, such as fever, skin itching, or hives.

Mustard greens are generally considered a "trigger food" (fa wu).

In traditional Chinese medicine, "trigger foods" refer to foods that, although nutritious, have certain stimulating properties and may trigger pre-existing conditions, exacerbate existing illnesses, or cause allergic reactions after consumption. While mustard greens are rich in nutrients such as minerals, dietary fiber, vitamin A, and vitamin B, which help nourish the body, some individuals may experience adverse effects after eating them, such as fever, skin itching, or hives. Therefore, mustard greens are generally classified as a trigger food.

Patients with hemorrhoids, rectal bleeding, excessive internal heat, or similar conditions should avoid consuming mustard greens to prevent worsening of symptoms.
