How much daily exercise is appropriate?
It is generally appropriate to exercise about one hour per day, though the specific amount of physical activity should be determined according to age and individual physical condition.
Daily moderate exercise helps maintain good health. Physical activity can accelerate metabolism and blood circulation, promote the elimination of waste from the body, increase lung capacity, and enhance physical fitness and immunity. However, excessive exercise may lead to muscle or joint injuries, so it's important to exercise in moderation. For most adults, exercising about one hour per day is suitable. Children, on the other hand, should have somewhat less activity, ideally between half an hour to one hour. A child's heart is only about one-third the size of an adult's, and their oxygen uptake during exercise is significantly lower than that of adults, so their exercise should be appropriately reduced. Individuals with better physical fitness may exercise slightly more, while those with weaker constitutions or certain heart conditions should reduce their physical activity accordingly.
The amount of exercise should be tailored to each individual's specific circumstances—exercising within one's capabilities rather than focusing solely on duration. If any discomfort occurs, it is recommended to seek medical attention immediately.
