Introduction
A white growth appearing at the inner corner of the eye may result from accumulated oils due to poor eye hygiene, forming under the skin. It can be treated by applying tretinoin ointment as directed by a physician or through a procedure involving needle extraction to remove the contents. It could also be caused by bacterial infection entering the eyelid glands, in which case erythromycin eye ointment is needed to control inflammation. Additionally, it might stem from blocked eccrine sweat ducts preventing normal sweat drainage, which can be improved with liquid nitrogen cryotherapy.

A white growth appearing at the inner corner of the eye may be due to milia, blepharitis, sweat gland tumors (syringoma), etc., and it is recommended to treat based on the underlying cause.

1. Milia

Failure to maintain proper eye hygiene and excessive sebum production can prevent normal excretion of oils through the skin surface, leading to accumulation of excess sebum within the skin and resulting in white spots at the inner corner of the eye. It is recommended to seek treatment from a qualified physician at a hospital who may use a needle extraction method—opening the surface of the milia and squeezing out its contents—to alleviate symptoms.

2. Blepharitis

When eyelid glands are infected by pathogenic microorganisms, bacteria enter the glands through openings along the eyelid margin, causing small white bumps locally. Under medical guidance, topical application of antibiotic eye drops or ointments such as levofloxacin eye drops, erythromycin eye ointment, or tobramycin eye drops is recommended to control infection and relieve symptoms.

3. Syringoma (Sweat Gland Tumor)

Blockage of small sweat ducts prevents sweat from being normally excreted through metabolism, leading to the development of small white granules at the inner corner of the eye. It is recommended to visit a hospital for treatment using liquid nitrogen cryotherapy to destroy and remove the syringomas.

In addition, this condition could also be caused by meibomian cysts (chalazions). It is advised to undergo appropriate diagnostic evaluation at a hospital and follow recommended treatment measures accordingly.
