"Coming of the aunt" is usually a euphemism for menstruation. If one catches a cold during menstruation, symptoms can typically be alleviated through light diet, drinking plenty of water, improving the environment, applying heat, medication, and other methods.

  1. Light Diet

When a cold is caused by a viral infection, the body's resistance decreases. Eating light-tasting yet nutritious foods can promote the metabolism of inflammatory factors and pathogens, enhance disease resistance, and accelerate recovery.

  2. Drink Plenty of Water

Drinking ample warm water helps boost metabolism, facilitates the elimination of metabolic waste from the body, and assists in dissipating body heat.

  3. Improve the Environment

For individuals with mild symptoms or those undergoing medication treatment, it's also important to rest in bed, maintain suitable temperature and humidity in the surrounding environment, keep the area clean and hygienic, and thereby support symptom improvement.

  4. Heat Application

Applying heat can stimulate capillary dilation and promote sweating in individuals with colds. This increases blood circulation, helps relieve localized pain caused by colds, and reduces muscle tension.

  5. Medication

If body temperature exceeds 38.5°C, medications such as acetaminophen tablets, diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets, or ibuprofen sustained-release capsules may be taken under medical guidance to reduce fever. Antiviral drugs like oseltamivir phosphate granules, ribavirin granules, or amantadine hydrochloride tablets can also be used in combination to help eliminate the virus.

If the above methods do not yield satisfactory results, it is important to seek timely medical attention, undergo relevant examinations, and follow a doctor's advice for appropriate treatment and strict adherence to prescribed medication.
