Introduction
Positive Helicobacter pylori antibody test without stomach discomfort may indicate a latent infection, and active treatment is recommended. This could be due to a strong immune system that suppresses the growth and activity of H. pylori, resulting in an asymptomatic (latent) infection. However, as H. pylori continuously attacks the human immune system over time, symptoms may gradually develop. Therefore, it's still necessary to follow medical advice and undergo quadruple therapy treatment.

A positive Helicobacter pylori antibody result generally indicates an H. pylori infection. In some patients with strong resistance and immunity, the immune system may suppress the bacterium's replication rate and activity, preventing obvious clinical symptoms—this is known as a latent (or silent) infection, which still shows a positive test result. However, as H. pylori continues to attack the body's immune system over time, symptoms such as acid reflux, belching, reduced appetite, and abdominal pain may gradually develop. Therefore, it is still important to actively seek medical treatment under a doctor's guidance, using quadruple therapy to eradicate H. pylori and prevent adverse effects on health.

The most commonly used treatment for H. pylori infection is quadruple therapy, which involves combining four medications: a proton pump inhibitor, a bismuth agent, and two antibiotics—for example, omeprazole enteric-coated capsules, potassium citrate bismuth capsules, metronidazole tablets, and amoxicillin capsules.
