What happens if you eat too many green walnuts?
Eating too many green walnuts may cause indigestion, obesity, and elevated blood lipid levels.
1. Indigestion
Green walnuts are relatively rich in fats and dietary fiber. Consuming excessive amounts may increase the burden on the gastrointestinal tract, leading to indigestion, bloating, nausea, and similar symptoms.
2. Obesity
Green walnuts are high in fat. Overconsumption may lead to excessive fat intake, resulting in fat accumulation and obesity.
3. Elevated Blood Lipids
Excessive consumption of green walnuts may also lead to overintake of fats, increasing triglyceride levels and causing elevated blood lipids, thereby raising the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events.
In addition, eating too many green walnuts may increase the liver's workload and potentially trigger fatty liver disease; therefore, they should be consumed in moderation.
