Introduction
If the eye is poked by a finger, resulting in redness and subconjunctival hemorrhage, cold compresses can be applied to the eye when there is only a small amount of bleeding and no vision loss. If the bleeding is more extensive, medications such as Sanqi Shangyao tablets, Compound Xueshuantong capsules, or Hexue Mingmu tablets—known for promoting blood circulation and resolving blood stasis—can be used to facilitate absorption of the hemorrhage. If the conjunctiva is significantly damaged, surgical suturing may be required.

If the eyeball is poked by a finger and results in redness or blood pooling, improvement can generally be achieved through physical therapy, medication, or surgical treatment.

1. Physical Therapy

If there is only a small amount of bleeding and no vision loss, apply an ice pack or cold compress to the eye to constrict local capillaries and prevent further bleeding. However, care should be taken to control the temperature to avoid frostbite.

2. Medication

If the bleeding is more severe, follow medical advice to take blood-activating and stasis-resolving medications such as Sanqi injury medicine tablets, Compound Xueshuantong Capsules, or Hexue Mingmu Tablets to promote absorption of the hematoma.

3. Surgical Treatment

If the conjunctiva is damaged with a large affected area, surgical suturing may be recommended by a physician.

In addition, maintain good eye hygiene and avoid rubbing the eyes to prevent infection or further injury.
