How to do prostate physical therapy video
Prostate physical therapy refers to the physical treatment of the prostate, primarily consisting of three types: prostate massage, biofeedback therapy, and thermotherapy. Prostate physical therapy is a crucial component in the treatment process of prostatitis. This therapy should be performed under the guidance of a professional. Taking prostate massage as an example, the specific procedure is as follows:
1. The patient empties the bladder, then kneels on the bed with both knees, bends forward so that the torso lies against the bed surface, lifts the buttocks, keeps the thighs perpendicular to the bed, places both forearms on the bed, and rests the head on the forearms.
2. After cleaning the hands, put on sterile gloves and apply an appropriate amount of liquid paraffin to the index finger. Gently massage around the anal opening. Once the anal sphincter relaxes, slowly insert the index finger into the anus. The prostate can typically be felt at a depth of about 4–8 cm inside the rectum.
3. Starting from the left side of the prostate, massage diagonally from the outer upper region toward the inner lower direction, moving toward the central groove. Repeat the same motion on the right side of the prostate, and finally massage vertically from top to bottom along the central groove.
