Minimally invasive surgical procedure for adult hernia

Introduction
The patient was placed in the supine position. The surgeon made incisions above the umbilicus and in the left lower abdomen, then inserted laparoscopic instruments and a trocar. Under laparoscopic guidance, a transabdominal suturing device was introduced into the inguinal region to ligate the patent processus vaginalis with sutures. After confirming secure ligation without obvious abnormalities, the instruments, laparoscope, and trocar were removed. The incisions were sutured and covered with sterile dressings.
Hernia surgery in adults is generally performed under laparoscopy as a minimally invasive procedure. The operation should be carried out in a正规 hospital. The specific steps are as follows:
1. After the patient enters the operating room, they lie supine on the operating table. The anesthesiologist administers general anesthesia, while the surgical team performs routine disinfection and draping of the patient's abdomen.
2. Once anesthesia takes effect, the surgeon makes a 5mm incision above the patient's navel and inserts laparoscopic instruments for exploration.
3. A 3mm port is created in the lower left abdomen, and a trocar needle is inserted. The surgeon uses this to locate any unclosed hernia sac within the abdominal cavity and checks whether there is an unclosed hernia sac or patent processus vaginalis on the opposite side.
4. With guidance from the laparoscopic camera, a abdominal wall suturing device is inserted into the inguinal region to suture and ligate the unclosed processus vaginalis.
5. After secure ligation, the abdominal cavity is re-examined using the laparoscope. If no abnormalities are found, the instruments, camera, and trocars are removed. The incisions are sutured and covered with sterile dressings.
After surgery, patients should rest adequately and maintain a light diet, avoiding spicy or irritating foods.
