Headache before sleep, still headache upon waking
Headache before sleep and upon waking may be related to causes such as colds, trigeminal neuralgia, or cervical spondylosis. Medication treatment under a doctor's guidance can be considered.
1. Cold
If the body's immune function is low, viral invasion can lead to a cold accompanied by headache. If symptoms persist without improvement after rest, the headache may continue. Under medical guidance, medications such as Ganmao Qingre Granules or Amoxicillin Capsules may be used for treatment.
2. Trigeminal Neuralgia
When the trigeminal nerve is compressed, it can cause episodic local pain leading to headaches. Medications prescribed by a doctor, such as Ibuprofen Sustained-Release Capsules or Carbamazepine Tablets, can be taken accordingly.
3. Cervical Spondylosis
Cervical spondylosis may compress surrounding nerves, resulting in insufficient blood supply to the brain and causing symptoms like dizziness and headache. In severe cases, medications such as Mecobalamin Tablets or Vitamin B Tablets may be used under medical supervision.
Besides the above, headaches occurring before sleep and after waking may also be associated with conditions such as migraines or chronic refractory headaches.
