Symptoms of duodenal ulcer perforation
Common symptoms of duodenal ulcer perforation include rapid pulse, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Treatment methods such as oral medications or surgery should be administered under a doctor's guidance.
1. Rapid Pulse
Duodenal ulcer perforation is usually caused by factors such as Helicobacter pylori infection or long-term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It commonly leads to a rapid pulse, and in severe cases, may also cause chest pain and chest tightness. Under medical supervision, medications such as domperidone tablets or omeprazole tablets may be prescribed for treatment.
2. Abdominal Pain
Duodenal ulcer perforation typically causes bacterial-related abdominal pain, which tends to persist over time. Under a doctor’s guidance, surgical repair of the perforation is usually required.
3. Nausea and Vomiting
Duodenal ulcer perforation is a relatively serious condition. If left untreated or worsens, it may lead to symptoms such as nausea and vomiting. In such cases, partial gastrectomy (removal of part of the stomach) may be necessary under medical supervision.
Besides the above, duodenal ulcer perforation may also cause pallor. Patients should promptly visit a hospital for evaluation, and receive appropriate medical guidance based on the severity of their condition.
