Baby doesn't sleep after feeding at night
It is possible that a baby not sleeping after feeding at night may be due to physiological factors or pathological conditions, such as indigestion or rickets. Appropriate management should be chosen based on the specific cause.
I. Physiological Factors
If the baby cannot sleep because the diaper hasn't been changed after feeding, or was stimulated and excited by caregivers during feeding, it's recommended to change the diaper promptly and maintain a comfortable sleeping environment to help the baby fall asleep.
II. Pathological Factors
1. Indigestion
If overfeeding leads to indigestion and abdominal bloating, medications such as lactase tablets, Jianwei Xiaoshi tablets (digestive aid), or Bifidobacterium triple viable capsules may be used under medical guidance.
2. Rickets
If rickets causes low serum calcium levels, leading to increased nerve excitability, treatment under medical supervision may include calcium lactate granules, calcium carbonate granules, vitamin D drops, etc. Additionally, moderate sun exposure can help promote calcium absorption.
Besides the above, conditions such as pinworm infection may also be responsible; therefore, medical advice should be followed for proper diagnosis and treatment.
