How long does it take to recover from hyperventilation syndrome?
Hyperpnea syndrome generally refers to hyperventilation syndrome. In most cases, patients can recover within 3 to 7 days after treatment, although the exact recovery time varies from person to person.
Hyperventilation syndrome may be caused by excessive fatigue or metabolic abnormalities, and it occurs more frequently in women. After onset, patients typically experience symptoms such as dizziness, shortness of breath, and general fatigue. With proper treatment, recovery usually occurs within about 3 to 7 days; however, due to individual differences, the recovery period is not fixed.
During treatment, patients should ensure adequate rest and maintain a regular daily routine. A light diet is recommended, and consumption of spicy or irritating foods should be avoided as much as possible.
