Introduction
Generally, iodophor is applied first, followed by yellow medicine solution. Both are antiseptic agents that help prevent infection, protect the wound, and exert antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and healing effects. They also facilitate proper drainage from the wound and stimulate the growth of local granulation tissue, thereby promoting wound healing. Iodophor causes relatively little irritation to the wound, resulting in minimal pain, making it more acceptable to patients, and it has a broader range of applications.

Generally, iodophor is applied first, followed by yellow medicine solution. Both are antiseptic agents that help prevent infection and protect wounds, providing antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing effects.

Iodophor is a commonly used disinfectant effective against bacterial vegetative cells, fungi, protozoa, and certain viruses. It is widely used for disinfecting skin and mucous membranes, treating vaginal infections caused by trichomonas or fungi, and managing burn injuries. Yellow medicine solution is also frequently used in medical settings for sterilization and disinfection, and can be applied to skin disinfection, burns, and treatment of vaginal inflammation. When the body has a wound, iodophor should first be used to wipe the area, effectively killing bacteria and reducing inflammation on both the surface and inside the wound. If necrotic tissue is present and requires prompt removal, repeated wiping with iodophor-soaked gauze is necessary. After disinfecting with iodophor, yellow medicine solution can be placed inside the wound to further eliminate bacteria, promote drainage, and stimulate the growth of local granulation tissue, thereby facilitating wound healing.

In addition, iodophor causes relatively little irritation to wounds, resulting in minimal pain, making it more tolerable for patients and more widely applicable in clinical practice.
