Introduction
Neodymium magnets are strong magnetic materials composed of elements such as neodymium, iron, and boron, possessing powerful magnetic properties. Under normal circumstances, neodymium magnets do not pose direct harm to the human body; however, improper use or accidental ingestion may cause injuries such as skin allergies, eye damage, or gastrointestinal obstruction.

Neodymium magnets are strong magnetic materials composed of elements such as neodymium, iron, and boron, possessing powerful magnetic properties. Under normal circumstances, neodymium magnets do not pose direct harm to the human body. However, improper use or accidental ingestion may lead to injuries such as skin allergies, eye damage, and intestinal obstruction.

1. Skin Allergy

After contact with a neodymium magnet, the skin may develop allergic reactions, resulting in localized itching or redness and swelling. These symptoms can usually be treated with antiallergic medications, such as chlorpheniramine tablets or loratadine tablets, taken under medical supervision to relieve discomfort.

2. Eye Injury

If a neodymium magnet accidentally enters the eye, it may cause significant eye damage, including injury to the cornea. Immediate medical attention is required to prevent worsening of the injury.

3. Intestinal Obstruction

Accidental ingestion of a neodymium magnet may damage the intestines, potentially leading to intestinal obstruction, intestinal injury, difficulty in defecation, and other complications. Prompt hospitalization is necessary to prevent the condition from deteriorating.

Therefore, when using neodymium magnets, ensure they are stored out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion. Keep neodymium magnets away from internal electronic medical devices such as pacemakers and hearing aids.
