Introduction
Generally, you can take a bath 1–2 days after acupuncture and bloodletting. This usually involves inserting needles into specific acupoints on the body, followed by cupping to draw out stagnant blood. Alternatively, for areas of localized skin abscess, the surface of the affected skin is punctured and then cupping is applied to extract pus and blood from beneath the skin.

Generally, it is safe to take a bath 1–2 days after acupuncture bloodletting.

If a patient experiences symptoms such as poor circulation, muscle and joint pain, or stagnation of qi and blood, acupuncture bloodletting may be used as a treatment to improve blood circulation, promote the elimination of metabolic waste, relieve musculoskeletal discomfort, and regulate overall bodily functions. Typically, needles are inserted into specific acupoints on the body, followed by cupping to draw out stagnant blood. Alternatively, for areas with localized skin abscesses, the surface of the affected skin is punctured and cupping is applied to extract pus and blood from beneath the skin. The amount of bleeding during this procedure is usually minimal, and the resulting wound is small. Healing typically takes about 1–2 days, after which bathing is permissible once the wound has fully healed.

Patients are advised to undergo acupuncture bloodletting at正规 medical facilities to reduce the risk of wound infection. After treatment, the bloodletting site should be kept clean and dry—avoid contact with water and protect the area from exposure to wind or cold.
