Lincomycin exerts anti-inflammatory effects, while lidocaine provides localized anesthetic action. Consequently, this combination gel primarily functions to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and alleviate pruritus. It demonstrates good efficacy against superficial dermatitis and insect bite–induced skin irritation.

However, this medication should not be applied over large areas or used long-term. Avoid contact with eyes and other mucosal surfaces. Some patients may experience local skin irritation or allergic reactions—including pruritus, burning sensation, or rash. Dosage and administration must strictly follow physician instructions. Patients should ensure adequate rest, maintain a light diet, and take precautions against cold exposure and hypothermia.

Contraindications and Precautions

This product is contraindicated in infants under one month of age. For external use only—apply topically to affected areas two to three times daily. It is a green, transparent, aqueous gel. Occasional adverse effects include local skin irritation (e.g., burning sensation) or allergic reactions (e.g., rash, pruritus). Prolonged or extensive application is not recommended. Discontinue use if burning sensation, erythema, or swelling occurs at the application site; wash off residual medication and consult a physician if necessary.

This is a compound preparation. Each gram contains 5 mg lincomycin and 4 mg lidocaine hydrochloride. Excipients include carbomer, glycerin, triethanolamine, ethylparaben, food-grade green dye, fragrance, and purified water.

The principal active ingredient, lincomycin, binds to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome in susceptible organisms, thereby inhibiting peptide chain elongation and suppressing bacterial protein synthesis.
