Introduction
In general, feeling nauseous but unable to vomit after heatstroke may be due to loss of body fluids and electrolytes, leading to gastrointestinal dysfunction. Management can include moving to a cool place, loosening tight clothing, applying cold compresses to the forehead, sipping water slowly, and taking appropriate medications. Additionally, dietary adjustments can also help. During recovery from heatstroke, patients should avoid overexertion.

Generally, feeling nauseous but unable to vomit after heatstroke may be due to loss of body fluids and electrolytes, leading to gastrointestinal dysfunction. This condition can be managed by moving to a cool place, loosening tight clothing, applying cold compresses to the forehead, sipping water slowly, taking medication, and other measures. Specific management strategies are as follows:

1. Move to a cool place

Quickly leave the high-temperature environment and move to a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid further exposure to heat to alleviate symptoms of heatstroke and reduce discomfort.

2. Loosen tight clothing

Check whether wearing tight clothing, especially waist-cinchers or tight chest garments. Immediately loosen or remove such clothing to facilitate heat dissipation, relieve chest pressure, and help reduce nausea.

3. Apply cold compress to the forehead

Gently place a wet towel or a cooled ice pack on the forehead to help lower body temperature. Cold compresses can reduce nausea and ease discomfort by providing a cooling sensation to the head.

4. Sip water slowly

Replenish fluids by drinking small sips of water slowly. Choose cool (but not icy) water and avoid extremely cold or hot beverages. Sipping water gradually helps relieve nausea caused by heatstroke and restores the body's fluid balance over time.

5. Take medication

If feeling nauseous but unable to vomit after heatstroke, patients may take medications such as Huoxiang Zhengqi Water or Shidi Shui under medical guidance. Timely and appropriate treatment can effectively improve heatstroke symptoms.

In addition, dietary adjustments can also help. During recovery from heatstroke, patients should avoid overexertion, maintain good indoor ventilation, refrain from physical activity in hot conditions, and prevent recurrent heatstroke.
