Can you take a bath right after recovering from a fever?
Fever refers to an elevated body temperature. It is okay to take a bath right after a fever subsides, but since the body's immunity is still relatively low at this stage, one can easily catch a cold again. It is acceptable to bathe once the fever has just resolved. Fever is typically caused by pathogens in the body or inflammatory responses from the immune system, and is not significantly influenced by external environmental factors. However, you must pay close attention to both water temperature and room temperature. A warm shower is recommended, with water temperature not too high—ideally kept around 37°C—to avoid irritating the skin and blood vessels, which could worsen the condition. Bathing time should not be too long, as prolonged exposure may deplete body fluids and lead to mixed symptoms of chills and fever, potentially aggravating the illness.
In addition to the above precautions, it's important to rest promptly after bathing and avoid excessive physical activity to prevent discomfort. If symptoms are severe or persist for an extended period, prompt medical attention is advised. Furthermore, in daily life, it's beneficial to consume easily digestible and absorbable foods.
