Introduction
Symptoms of right maxillary sinusitis generally include large amounts of purulent nasal discharge, persistent nasal congestion, and reduced sense of smell. Treatment usually involves rinsing the nasal cavity with saline solution to protect the sinus mucosa, or using medications such as mometasone furoate nasal spray or budesonide nasal spray under a doctor's guidance. Physical therapies such as ultrasonic nebulization or infrared irradiation may also be administered as directed by a physician.

Common symptoms of right maxillary sinusitis include purulent nasal discharge, nasal congestion, and reduced sense of smell. Treatment methods typically include general management, medication, physical therapy, etc.

I. Symptoms of Right Maxillary Sinusitis

1. Purulent Nasal Discharge
Due to inflammatory stimulation, a large amount of thick, pus-like nasal discharge may occur. Some patients may also notice small streaks of blood in the discharge.

2. Nasal Congestion
Right maxillary sinusitis often causes nasal mucosal congestion and swelling, leading to increased purulent secretions in the nasal cavity, which block the airway and result in persistent nasal obstruction.

3. Reduced Sense of Smell
If not treated promptly, prolonged inflammation can lead to swelling and thickening of the nasal mucosa, obstructing the olfactory cleft area or damaging olfactory nerve function, thereby causing hyposmia (reduced smell).

In addition, symptoms such as facial pain may also occur. It is recommended to seek medical attention promptly and follow medical advice for treatment.

II. Treatment of Right Maxillary Sinusitis

1. General Management
For mild cases with excessive nasal secretions, nasal irrigation with normal saline can help protect the sinus mucosa and relieve discomfort.

2. Medication
Under medical guidance, corticosteroids may be used to reduce inflammatory response and alleviate nasal symptoms. Commonly used medications include mometasone furoate nasal spray, budesonide nasal spray, and fluticasone propionate nasal spray.

3. Physical Therapy
As advised by a physician, physical therapies such as ultrasonic nebulization, infrared irradiation, or ultrashort wave therapy may also be used to improve local blood circulation and promote resolution of inflammation.

In addition, surgical options such as radical maxillary sinus surgery or endoscopic sinus surgery may be considered. It is recommended to choose an appropriate treatment method under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
