What is the anatomical location of the ovaries?

The ovaries are organs in the female reproductive system responsible for producing eggs and play a crucial role in regulating the menstrual cycle and fertility. They are located in the lower abdomen, one on each side of the uterus.

The ovaries are situated within the pelvic cavity, which is the region in the lower abdomen that houses the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and other related tissues.
