Introduction
Gynecological enema involves inserting medication in liquid form through a catheter from the anus into the rectum, allowing the drug to enter the colon and exert therapeutic effects via local absorption through the intestinal wall. Enemas should be performed at a正规 medical facility. After the procedure, patients' body temperature should be closely monitored. If hypothermia occurs, patients should dress warmly or soak their hands and feet in warm water.

Gynecological enema involves administering medication in liquid form through a catheter inserted via the anus into the rectum, allowing the drug to enter the colon and be absorbed through the intestinal wall for therapeutic effect. Enemas should be performed at a正规 medical facility, with the specific procedure as follows:

1. The patient lies on their left side, exposing the buttocks. The doctor hangs the enema bag on an IV stand, positioning it 40–60 cm above the anus.

2. The doctor lubricates the front 5 cm of the anal tube with a cotton ball moistened with liquid paraffin, then expels air from the tube and closes the flow regulator. The anal tube is gently and slowly inserted 7–10 cm into the patient's anus, after which the regulator is opened to allow the medication to flow in.

3. After completion of the enema, the doctor closes the regulator and cleans the patient’s perianal area with gauze. The patient is instructed to retain the medication for 5–10 minutes before defecating.

After the enema, monitor the patient’s body temperature. If hypothermia occurs, the patient should dress warmly or soak hands and feet in warm water to help restore normal body temperature.
