Introduction
Persistent daily fever in advanced bile duct cancer may indicate declining immune function, tumor progression, or the presence of infection, all of which require targeted treatment. Cancer can lead to rapid spread of malignant cells, causing damage to vital organs and weakening the immune system, thereby resulting in daily fever during the late stages of bile duct cancer. As bile duct cancer advances to its later stages, the tumor tends to grow more rapidly.

Fever occurring daily in advanced bile duct cancer may indicate declining immune function, tumor growth, or the presence of infection, requiring targeted treatments accordingly.

1. Decreased Immune Function

Cancer can lead to rapid spread of cancer cells, causing damage to body organs and resulting in reduced immunity, which may manifest as daily fever in advanced bile duct cancer. Under a doctor's guidance, patients may take medications such as vitamin A tablets, vitamin B tablets, and vitamin D tablets to enhance immune function.

2. Tumor Growth

In the advanced stage of bile duct cancer, tumors grow more rapidly, potentially leading to tumor necrosis. The necrotic tissue releases heat, thereby causing fever. Under medical supervision, medications such as ibuprofen sustained-release tablets, acetaminophen tablets, or ibuprofen suspension may be used to manage the symptoms.

3. Infection

In advanced bile duct cancer, if patients develop an infection, inflammatory secretions are produced. These secretions can affect the body's temperature regulation center, leading to fever. Under a doctor’s direction, anti-infective medications such as roxithromycin capsules, metronidazole tablets, or clarithromycin tablets may be administered to treat the infection and reduce fever.

Besides the above causes, cancer progression or mutation may also contribute to daily fever in advanced bile duct cancer. Patients should maintain a positive mindset when fighting cancer and avoid excessive pessimism or anxiety.
