Women with cold hands and feet are sensitive to cold.
Women experiencing cold hands and feet and sensitivity to cold may be affected by physiological factors or pathological conditions such as qi stagnation with blood stasis, or spleen-kidney yang deficiency.
I. Physiological Factors
Females with a naturally cold constitution often have excessive yin energy in the body, leading to insufficient yang energy. This can easily cause blockages in the meridians, slow circulation of qi and blood, reduced blood flow velocity, and decreased oxygen supply, resulting in cold hands and feet.
II. Pathological Causes
1. Qi Stagnation with Blood Stasis
This condition impairs the circulation and distribution of qi and blood, causing local tissue hypoxia and malnutrition. As a result, localized temperature drops, leading to symptoms such as cold extremities and aversion to cold.
2. Spleen-Kidney Yang Deficiency
Patients with this condition suffer from insufficient yang energy in the body, resulting in an imbalance between yin and yang. The body becomes vulnerable to cold and damp pathogens, making tissues more susceptible to invasion by cold evils, thereby causing cold limbs.
In addition to the above causes, cold-dampness obstruction may also be responsible. It is recommended to seek timely treatment from a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) department and receive proper diagnosis and therapy under professional medical guidance.
