Normal semen color
Normal male semen is generally milky white or pale yellow. The details are as follows:
Semen consists of sperm and seminal plasma. Normally, semen appears milky white or grayish white. In men who have not ejaculated for a prolonged period, the semen may appear slightly yellowish after ejaculation. Semen is a viscous liquid mixture that, within 15 to 30 minutes after being expelled from the body, turns into a thin, translucent, milky liquid under the action of prostatic liquefying enzymes.
If a change in semen color is noticed, it may indicate possible infections of the urogenital system, such as seminal vesiculitis or prostatitis. It is advisable to visit a hospital for appropriate examinations and receive active treatment under medical guidance.
