What should you eat after undergoing IVF embryo transfer?
There is no single best thing to consume after IVF transfer; generally, patients can eat certain foods or take medications as needed.
I. Foods
1. Fruits and vegetables: After IVF transfer, it's generally important to pay attention to your diet and maintain light, balanced meals. You may moderately consume fruits such as apples, oranges, pears, and various vegetables. These provide hydration and essential vitamins.
2. Milk: Drinking an appropriate amount of milk is also recommended. Milk is rich in protein, which helps nourish the body and support metabolism.
In addition, other nutritious foods such as eggs, fish, and lean meats can also be consumed in moderation.
II. Medications
1. Folic acid tablets: After IVF transfer, certain medications like folic acid supplements may be taken appropriately. Folic acid helps prevent neural tube defects in the developing fetus and supports healthy fetal growth and development. Generally, other medications are not recommended unless prescribed by a doctor.
2. Calcium carbonate tablets: If calcium deficiency is present, calcium carbonate tablets may be taken under medical guidance to supplement calcium and promote fetal development.
In addition, calcium gluconate oral solution and similar supplements may also be used. If any discomfort or unusual symptoms occur after IVF transfer, prompt consultation with an obstetrician-gynecologist is advised.
