Introduction
Men who constantly feel the urge to urinate may be experiencing this due to either physiological or pathological factors, such as urinary tract infections or ureteral stones. If a large amount of water is consumed during meals, or foods with high water content—such as watermelon and cucumber—are eaten, excessive fluid intake within a short period can occur. This fluid is then metabolized by the body and converted into urine, leading to increased urination.

Men constantly feeling the urge to urinate may be caused by physiological factors or pathological conditions such as urinary tract infections, ureteral stones, etc. The specific analysis is as follows:

I. Physiological Factors

If a large amount of water is consumed during meals, or foods with high water content—such as watermelon, cucumber, etc.—are eaten, excessive fluid intake within a short period can lead to increased urine production through normal bodily metabolism. This may result in frequent urination and a persistent urge to urinate in men.

II. Pathological Factors

1. Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

This is primarily associated with bacterial infection. If a patient has undergone urinary tract instrumentation, improper procedures during examination may damage the mucous membrane of the urethra, allowing external bacteria to invade and trigger an inflammatory response, leading to a urinary tract infection. Affected by inflammatory factors, the temperature in the urethral area may rise, causing abnormal contractions and resulting in this symptom. It is recommended to take medications such as cefuroxime axetil tablets or levofloxacin hydrochloride tablets under medical guidance.

2. Ureteral Stones

If a man has ureteral stones, the stones may stimulate peripheral nerves in the ureter, increasing their sensitivity and causing spasms of local smooth muscles. This can also lead to the aforementioned symptoms, often accompanied by abdominal pain. It is recommended to follow a doctor's advice and use medications such as diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets or ibuprofen sustained-release capsules. Additionally, laser surgery or other procedures may be used to remove the stones.

Besides the above, bladder tumors may also cause such symptoms. If the condition persists for a prolonged period, individuals should visit a hospital to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment.
