Introduction
Under normal circumstances, pubic lice eggs do not reside inside hair follicles. Pubic lice are common parasites that infest human body hair. The development of pubic lice includes three stages: egg (nit), nymph, and adult. Eggs and adult lice typically adhere to hairy areas such as the genital region and anus. When the eggs attach to the hair shaft, they appear as grayish-white, sand-like particles.

Under normal circumstances, pubic lice eggs do not reside inside hair follicles. The specific analysis is as follows:

Pthirus pubis (pubic lice) are common parasites that infest human body hair. The development of pubic lice includes three stages: egg (nit), nymph, and adult. Eggs and adult lice typically attach to hairy areas such as the genital region and anus. When the eggs adhere to hairs, they appear as grayish-white, sand-like particles. Since the size of pubic lice eggs is larger than the opening of hair follicles, they cannot enter into the follicles. Therefore, pubic lice eggs do not penetrate into hair follicles. The presence of pubic lice eggs may be caused by factors such as poor hygiene habits or unprotected sexual contact. Once the eggs develop into adult lice, they bite the surrounding skin, leading to symptoms such as redness, papules, and itching.

If pubic lice infestation occurs, it is recommended to use medications such as crotamiton cream or basil oil under medical guidance. Additionally, maintain good personal hygiene by washing the affected area daily with clean water, and disinfect underwear and other close-fitting garments by boiling them.
