Introduction
At 6 weeks of pregnancy, a mild ache in the lower right abdomen may occur as the fetus gradually develops and the uterus enlarges, stretching surrounding ligaments and adjacent organs. It could also result from acute appendicitis during pregnancy, in which inflammation of the appendix irritates the parietal peritoneum of the abdominal wall, causing dull pain in the right abdomen. Additionally, pain in the lower abdomen may arise when an inflammatory process affects the right adnexa, stimulating discomfort due to inflammation.

At 6 weeks of pregnancy, mild pain in the lower right abdomen may be caused by physiological factors, or it could result from pathological conditions such as appendicitis or adnexitis. The specific analysis is as follows:

I. Physiological Factors

As the fetus gradually develops, the pregnant woman's uterus also enlarges. When the expanding uterus pulls on surrounding ligaments and adjacent organs, it can cause a dull abdominal ache. This is a normal physiological phenomenon and generally not a cause for concern. Symptoms can be improved with adequate rest.

II. Pathological Factors

1. Appendicitis

During pregnancy, acute inflammation of the appendix can lead to local obstruction, increased pressure, and impaired blood circulation. When this affects the parietal peritoneum of the abdominal wall, it causes a dull ache in the right side of the abdomen. It is recommended to take medications such as cefixime tablets, cefradine capsules, or amoxicillin capsules under a doctor’s guidance to control the inflammation and relieve discomfort.

2. Adnexitis

Inflammation of the right adnexa can cause local congestion and swelling, leading to lower abdominal pain due to inflammatory irritation. It is recommended to use topical medications such as metronidazole suppositories, kangfu anti-inflammatory suppositories, or tinidazole suppositories under medical supervision to manage the inflammation.

In addition, conditions such as threatened miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy may also cause similar symptoms. If the pain is significant, prompt medical evaluation is advised to avoid delays in diagnosis and treatment.
