Introduction
Artificial abortion is a procedure used to terminate unintended pregnancies resulting from contraceptive failure, or to end pregnancies in women who have medical conditions that make continuing the pregnancy inadvisable. It generally consists of two methods: surgical abortion and medical abortion. The procedure can cause physical trauma, so adequate rest after surgery is essential. It is also important to avoid raw, cold, spicy foods, and to maintain proper nutrition during recovery.

Generally, induced abortion is used as a remedial measure for unintended pregnancies resulting from contraceptive failure, or for women who need to terminate pregnancy due to medical conditions that make continuing the pregnancy inadvisable. It is typically divided into two methods: surgical abortion and medical abortion. Taking surgical abortion as an example, the specific procedure is as follows:

1. The patient empties her bladder and lies on the examination table in the lithotomy position.

2. The external genitalia are disinfected and covered with sterile drapes. A bimanual examination is performed to assess the position and size of the uterus.

3. A speculum is used to dilate the vagina. The vagina and cervical canal are disinfected, and the anterior lip of the cervix is grasped with a cervical clamp.

4. Following the direction of the uterine position, a probe is used to determine the depth and orientation of the uterine cavity, and an appropriate suction cannula is selected based on the cavity size.

5. The suction cannula is connected to a vacuum aspirator, and the embryo is removed by rotating the cannula clockwise.

This procedure causes some physical trauma, so adequate rest after surgery is important. Avoid raw, cold, spicy foods, and ensure sufficient nutritional intake. Maintain good personal hygiene to prevent infection. It is recommended to undergo the procedure at a正规 medical institution under the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals.
