Introduction
If a breast nodule is benign, a BI-RADS category 4A is generally not serious; however, if it is malignant, the situation is more severe. The specific analysis is as follows: Breast nodule is a clinical symptom that may be caused by factors such as breast trauma or genetic mutations. When cells in the breast tissue are stimulated by external factors and undergo abnormal proliferation, breast nodules may develop. In clinical medicine, breast nodules are classified according to their benign or malignant potential.

If a breast nodule is benign, a BI-RADS category 4A is generally not serious; however, if it is malignant, the condition is more severe. The details are as follows:

1. Not serious

Breast nodules are a clinical symptom that may be caused by factors such as breast trauma or genetic mutations. When cells in the breast area are stimulated by external factors and undergo abnormal proliferation, breast nodules may develop. In clinical medicine, breast nodules are classified from category 0 to 6 based on their likelihood of being benign or malignant. Category 4A breast nodules have a relatively high probability of being benign. If pathological examination confirms the nodule is benign and there are no abnormal symptoms, the condition is generally not serious. Special treatment is usually unnecessary—regular follow-up examinations are sufficient.

2. Serious

If a BI-RADS 4A breast nodule is found to be malignant, leaving it untreated for a prolonged period may lead to cancer progression. Patients are advised to seek medical care at a hospital and consider surgical removal of the breast nodule.

In daily life, individuals should maintain a balanced diet, avoid foods containing estrogen, abstain from smoking and alcohol, and engage in appropriate physical activity.
