Introduction
During surgery using an electric tourniquet, first occlude or block the blood vessels at the surgical site. Next, insert the hook of the electric tourniquet into the padding block and connect the power supply. Surgery can then begin. If bleeding occurs during the procedure, adjust the current intensity appropriately to stop the bleeding. Note that when achieving hemostasis, the current intensity should be carefully adjusted to avoid tissue damage.

Electric tourniquets are clinically used in surgical procedures to achieve rapid, effective, and safe hemostasis. There are three main steps for use, along with six key precautions. The details are as follows:

I. Method of Use

1. During surgery, first occlude or block the blood vessels at the surgical site. This can be done by inserting the padding accessory of the electric tourniquet into the vessel or using a clamp to compress the vessel, thereby sealing it and reducing bleeding.

2. Next, insert the hook end of the electric tourniquet into the padding, connect the power supply, and adjust the control button to regulate the current intensity, thus minimizing or stopping bleeding.

3. Surgery may then proceed. If bleeding occurs during the procedure, appropriately adjust the current intensity to stop the bleeding. After adjustment, remember to promptly disconnect the power. Finally, remove the padding to achieve the desired hemostatic effect.

II. Precautions

1. Before using the electric tourniquet, perform a safety check to ensure all components are intact and undamaged.

2. Ensure the hemostatic padding completely blocks the blood vessel and is securely compressed to prevent any fluid leakage.

3. Electric tourniquets should only be used in emergency hemorrhage situations and not for long-term treatment.

4. Exercise caution when adjusting the current intensity during hemostasis to avoid tissue damage.

5. Regular monitoring and maintenance of the tourniquet are required during surgery to maintain effective hemostasis.

6. After use, promptly disconnect the power and thoroughly disinfect the device to prevent adverse effects on the human body.

Note: Electric tourniquets must only be used under the guidance of a qualified physician. If hemostasis is inadequate, further evaluation should be performed and alternative hemostatic methods considered to effectively control blood loss.
