Unexplained discharge from the lower body
The lower body refers to the genital area. In general, unexplained discharge from the genital area may be caused by hormonal imbalance, vulvovaginal candidiasis, genital herpes, bacterial vaginosis, gonorrhea, or other reasons. Targeted treatment is required, with specific analysis as follows:
1. Hormonal imbalance: Hormonal imbalances may lead to abnormal vaginal discharge, possibly related to changes in estrogen levels, such as during menopause or pregnancy. Hormonal imbalance may be accompanied by irregular menstruation, mood changes, and other hormone-related symptoms.
2. Vulvovaginal candidiasis: This condition is a genital infection caused by Candida species. It may cause abnormal vaginal discharge, accompanied by itching, burning sensation, and redness and swelling of the genital area. Treatment may include clotrimazole cream, Baofukang suppositories, or similar medications under medical guidance.
3. Genital herpes: Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the herpes virus. It can lead to genital discharge, along with blisters, pain, and itching. Symptoms may be alleviated using medications such as valacyclovir hydrochloride granules or acyclovir tablets, as prescribed by a doctor.
4. Bacterial vaginosis: This is a vaginal inflammation caused by bacterial infection, which may result in abnormal genital discharge accompanied by odor, itching, and pain. Treatment may include nitrofurantoin tablets or tinidazole capsules under medical supervision.
5. Gonorrhea: Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It may cause genital discharge, along with urethritis, pain, and other symptoms. Discomfort may be relieved with medications such as minocycline hydrochloride capsules or amoxicillin tablets, as directed by a physician.
If symptoms persist or worsen, women are advised to seek timely medical care at a hospital to prevent adverse effects on their health.
