Introduction
Filiform granulomas on the fingers may be caused by foreign body irritation, vascular proliferation and dilation of the fingers, or paronychia, and can be treated with medications or surgical intervention. When the finger is irritated by a foreign body and not promptly cleaned, bacterial infection may occur, leading to nodular granuloma. In such cases, treatment with medications such as triamcinolone acetonide ointment or mupirocin ointment may be used under a doctor's guidance.

Symfiliform granulation tissue on the fingers may be caused by foreign body irritation, vascular proliferation and dilation of the fingers, paronychia, or other reasons. Treatment options include medication or surgical intervention. Specific causes are as follows:

1. Foreign body irritation

When the finger is irritated by a foreign body and not cleaned promptly, bacterial infection may occur, leading to nodular granuloma. In such cases, medications such as triamcinolone acetonide ointment or mupirocin ointment can be used under medical guidance.

2. Vascular proliferation and dilation of the finger

Damage to the skin of the finger may cause abnormal proliferation and dilation of local capillaries, ultimately resulting in filiform granulation tissue. Surgical excision can be performed for removal.

3. Paronychia

This may be related to prolonged exposure to irritants or allergens. Due to inflammatory stimulation, it mainly presents with symptoms such as redness, swelling, and pain around the nail. Topical application of fusidic acid cream or clotrimazole cream under medical supervision can be effective for treatment.

In addition to the above causes, filiform granulation tissue may also result from common warts, pyogenic granuloma, or myxoma. It is important to get adequate rest and avoid heavy physical labor.
