Always getting itchy bumps on the legs
Itchy bumps frequently appearing on the legs may be caused by contact dermatitis, folliculitis, urticaria, or other conditions, and timely medical treatment at a hospital is necessary. Specific causes are as follows:
1. Contact Dermatitis
This usually refers to an allergic reaction triggered when local skin comes into contact with certain specific substances. Symptoms include rashes, itching, or blisters in the contacted area, with relatively limited lesion sites. Treatment may include topical application of Triamcinolone Acetonide and Econazole Cream or Halometasone Cream under a doctor's guidance.
2. Folliculitis
This is typically caused by bacterial or fungal infections or physical friction damaging hair follicles, leading to skin itching. Treatment may involve using Polymyxin B Compound Ointment as directed by a physician or taking oral Cefuroxime Axetil tablets.
3. Urticaria
Exposure to dust or animal dander may trigger allergic reactions, causing multiple itchy welts on the legs. Medications such as Urticaria Pills or Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride Tablets may be used according to medical advice.
In addition to the above, conditions such as eczema, tinea cruris (jock itch), or tinea corporis (ringworm) could also be responsible. It is recommended to wear loose, comfortable clothing, preferably made of cotton.
