Introduction
In general, pain upon stretching the stomach may be caused by non-pathological factors, or by pathological conditions such as gastric ulcers or acute gastroenteritis. Besides these three causes, other possible reasons include peptic ulcers, duodenal ulcers, and functional dyspepsia. It is recommended to seek medical attention promptly and receive symptomatic treatment under the guidance of a physician.

Generally, pain in the stomach upon stretching may be caused by non-pathological factors, or it could result from pathological conditions such as gastric ulcers or acute enteritis. A detailed analysis is as follows:

I. Non-Pathological Factors

If a person remains physically inactive for a prolonged period and suddenly engages in intense exercise, exercise-related injuries may occur, leading to abdominal muscle pain that may radiate to or be felt in the stomach area. In such cases, the body can usually heal on its own; adequate rest is recommended, and specific medical treatment is generally not required.

II. Pathological Factors

1. Gastric Ulcer

Gastric ulcers may develop due to infection with *Helicobacter pylori*. This condition often causes symptoms such as stomach pain, bloating, and nausea. Some patients may experience a pulling or tugging pain in the stomach when stretching the waist area. Under medical supervision, medications such as rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablets, amoxicillin capsules, and lansoprazole enteric-coated tablets may be taken orally to relieve symptoms.

2. Acute Enteritis

Acute enteritis is typically associated with pathogen infection. Common symptoms include abdominal pain, nausea, and bloating. Some patients may also feel a pulling pain in the stomach region when straightening their back or stretching. Treatment under medical guidance may include medications such as compound diphenoxylate tablets, bifid triple viable capsules, and atropine tablets.

Besides the above three causes, similar symptoms may also arise from other conditions such as gastritis, colitis, or duodenal ulcers. It is advisable to seek timely medical attention and receive appropriate symptomatic treatment under the guidance of a physician.
