Instructions for Using the Eustachian Tube Inflation Device
Generally, the Eustachian tube inflation device is an instrument used to treat Eustachian tube obstruction and drain fluid accumulation in the middle ear. The specific procedure is as follows:
1. Spray tetracaine and ephedrine into the nasal mucosa to achieve topical anesthesia and shrinkage of the inferior turbinate mucosa, thereby enlarging the nasal cavity.
2. After clearing secretions from the nasal cavity, select a metal catheter appropriate for the patient's nasal size.
3. Insert the selected metal catheter through the nostril on the same side as the Eustachian tube to be inflated, advancing it to the pharyngeal opening of the Eustachian tube.
4. Once the metal catheter is securely positioned at the Eustachian tube, gently inflate by using the inflation bulb attached to the external end of the catheter.
If symptoms do not improve after using the Eustachian tube inflation device, it is recommended that the patient visit a正规 hospital and consult a qualified physician.
