Introduction
External cephalic version (ECV) refers to a procedure in which the fetus is manually rotated through the abdominal wall to change an unfavorable fetal position into one that is more conducive to delivery. This procedure carries certain risks. If ECV is required, it is recommended to go to a正规 hospital and have the procedure performed under the guidance of a qualified physician to minimize associated risks. Should any abnormalities occur after returning home, prompt follow-up evaluation is advised.

Under normal circumstances, fetal version refers to external cephalic version (ECV), a procedure in which the fetus is manually rotated through the abdominal wall to change an unfavorable fetal position into one that is more conducive to delivery. The specific steps are as follows:

1. The pregnant woman should empty her bladder and lie in a supine position with her hips elevated. Her legs should be bent and the abdominal wall fully exposed.

2. The operator examines the fetal position and monitors the fetal heart rate to assess whether the fetus shows any abnormalities.

3. During periods without uterine contractions, the operator uses both hands to grasp the fetal head and breech. While maintaining the fetal head in a flexed position, the head is gently pushed downward and the breech slowly lifted upward, thereby turning the fetus into a cephalic (head-down) position.

4. After completion of the version, the fetal heart sounds are checked again. If no abnormalities are detected, towels or padding are placed on both sides of the abdomen and an abdominal binder is applied to secure the position.

This procedure carries certain risks. If it is required, it is recommended to undergo the procedure at a正规 medical facility under the guidance of a qualified physician to minimize potential complications. After returning home, if any abnormal symptoms such as increased fetal movement, abdominal pain, or vaginal bleeding occur, prompt follow-up evaluation is advised to prevent adverse outcomes.
